Reviews

This is our third time at this apartment - we love the location and will be back.

Mrs S,

Absolutely fabulous apartment. The view was jaw droppingly good. Location was perfect for days out, nearby restaurants, and bar (serving my favourite beer) only a few meters away. Very spacious and parking was convenient. Loved it. Will plan to revisit in a couple of years time, and if the apartment is still a holiday let - we would book it again.

Ms E S,

Great location in Amble and excellent for exploring the coast A comfortable and well fitted out apartment with fantastic views of the marina snd estuary We wound gladly return

Mr L,

If you want a coastal town in Northumberland offering a whole range of amenities, and accommodation ( albeit on the pricier scale but offering wonderful panoramas all the way to Warkworth Castle) situated right in the town centre, then look no further.

Mrs L,

Lovely accommodation in a great location with fabulous views.

Mr S,

Absolutely fantastic location. Great apartment, well furnished and maintained. Lots to do locally. Thoroughly recommended

Mr B,

High quality apartment in an idea spot. First time in the area. We had a great holiday.

Mr G,

Superb views from the living room. Comfortable living accommodation. Location excellent for exploring the Northumberland coastline. No shower gel, shampoo, coffee pods for the Nespresso m/c, salt and no extra bin bags or tea towels, so be prepared to bring your own.

Mr W,

It was a fantastic apartment. Home from home, well Equipped and with a fabulous view to enjoy in good and bad weather! The floor heating was a super comfy bonus! :)

Mrs S,

The apartment was lovely and warm all the time , light and airy. Bathrooms were exceptional and good quality toiletries. Location is brilliant, right I the cetre of town but not hindered by tourists. Plenty of great places to eat and good food delivered, although kitchen well enough equipped to cook ourselves. Will definitely be back next year, with our 2 dogs, who loved the balcony.

Mrs W,

Lovely touch of a bottle of Prosecco and 6 cupcakes, which were yummy!!

Mrs B,

Great apartment if you enjoy spectacular views and bird watching from the comfort of your own balcony.

Mrs D,

Very nice apartment in a very good location. Very comfortable - our only mini-gripe was the lack of a decent size cafetière for those of us who don’t use coffee-machines! Very likely to book it again.

Mrs Gillian O,

Location

Right by the side of the marina in the bustling boat lovers' town of Amble, The Nelson takes guests right into the heart of marina life and lies directly above another Coastal Retreat, Quayside. You can watch all the boat activity from the comfort of the balcony or living room - that's if you're not actually taking part yourself! Shops, cafes and restaurants aplenty are within walking distance, so you could park your car and forget about it. Boats sail to Coquet Island, which is known for its seabirds, daily in the summer months from the pier, just a few minutes away from the apartment.

A short drive away is the lovely village of Warkworth with its historic castle, art gallery and shops. Alnmouth with its lovely beach and golf courses is a little further north, 10 minutes by car, and the villages of Seahouses and Bamburgh are around 25 minutes drive away.
