A sneak preview of The Apple Store
Published: Wednesday 28th Mar 2018
The Apple Store will welcome its first guests on Friday (March 30) after weeks of renovation transforming it into a rustic meets luxury getaway where fun, family and friendship comes together.
The Coastal Retreats design team has knocked down walls and made bold interior choices to really open up the space – creating a living area of ‘socialising hubs’ to encourage a relaxing holiday environment.
Its garden orchard inspired its name, and you can see differing shades of green and reds throughout in homage to its identity. We particularly love the bold green feature wall of the kitchen with the striking wooden apple, which was handmade by our carpenter, along with the coffee table, from reclaimed apple crates.
Other notable pieces are both the kitchen and dining tables where we imagine feasting together will be a real treat, and the motto wallpaper in the lounge, which contrasts brilliantly with the homeliness of the log burner and sofa area to add an edgy touch.
The addition of an ensuite bathroom to the master bedroom, the children’s play equipment and versatile bunk bed for three, plus televisions in all rooms, we have no doubt will leave many holidaymakers happy. After all, the practical features are just as important as the look.
We are thrilled with the end design, which couldn’t have been possible without our decorators and builders braving snow drifts and floods to get the work done on time. The weather is now looking up and our team is putting the finishing touches before the Easter guests arrive.
The full video tour and professional photography are coming soon, but we hope our snaps will give you a flavour of this homely barn conversion with some bold twists.
The Apple Store sleeps 7 and is situated in Tughall Steads, just outside Beadnell and Newton, with their popular beaches.
