New to our collection: Seagrass near Bamburgh

Spectacular Bamburgh Castle and coast views from this cleverly-designed eco lodge

You will be immediately struck by the view and the unique surroundings of Seagrass. The floor to ceiling windows in the dining kitchen give you direct views of Bamburgh Castle in the areas where you are most likely to hang out. Step outside to the decked seating area and that view is still present, drawing you in each time.

But what we love the most about Seagrass is the uniqueness of its setting. The fact that a once working quarry of the Budle Hall Estate has been turned into a collection of 12 privately owned eco lodges with solar heated water supplies, using the Whinstone rock cliff as a backdrop. Climb to the top of the cliff and you’ll discover an exclusive viewing point where you’ll be rewarded with panoramic views of the coast.

Inside Seagrass, the lounge has double height ceilings and a feature log burner, making it great for entertaining. The local castle artwork is particularly intriguing, as is the use of natural materials in both the flooring and the walls.

Sleeping six across three bedrooms, this single-storey lodge has a contemporary look using on trend colours of burnished copper and stately greys. Owned by the same family who brought Rosebud into our collection, they have once again in Seagrass created a holiday home with a brave and bold interior, which delivers on guest expectations.

Sleeps:  Six in three bedrooms. A master double with ensuite, a second double and a twin room. Both double bedrooms have TVs. There is also a family bathroom with shower over bath and Bluetooth speaker system.

Relaxing: Open plan living area with feature log burner, TV with Netflix and dining kitchen with Nespresso coffee machine and views of Bamburgh Castle. Outside decked area with sofas and shared access to 20 acres of woodland, picnic areas, and access to the viewing point at the cliff top.

Children: Fantastic open spaces for young ones to explore. Travel cot and high chair available on request.

Other stuff: Private parking to the rear of the lodge Just over a mile to the village of Bamburgh with its restaurants, shops, castle and beach.
