It’s not too late to book a Northumberland New Year getaway
Published: Thursday 9th Nov 2017
With less than two months to go until New Year, you may think you’ve left it too late to plan a getaway. But with our custom-designed stays, there is still the chance to book a holiday for groups of up to 18.
At our large group location in Beadnell, you can book adjoining cottages Nook End, Seasalt and Driftwood to sleep up to 18. The accommodation is family-friendly so this option would suit those with children or family groups. Situated just a five minute drive from the coast, these Retreats each have their own gardens and a shared communal space, log burning stoves – essential at this time of year – and fully-equipped kitchens, with plenty of freezer space to chill the New Year fizz.

In Bamburgh, Bamburgh Five and Bamburgh Six are exceptional apartments next door to each other with direct views of the iconic Bamburgh Castle. A truly unique location to see in the New Year, they have both been furnished to high standards and offer a decadent Retreat for a small group separately or for up to nine guests if booked together.

If you absolutely love Christmas and don’t want it to end then you will be pleased to hear that our tasteful festive decorations remain in our Retreats until after the New Year. So if you are looking to keep that ‘wrapped up warm, snuggling by the fire’ feeling until you are forced to return to work, then Craster’s Harbour Master’s House is the place for you. With a real fire, sea views and just steps from The Jolly Fisherman gastro pub, you may never venture further than the village.

Or if you’d just like to hide away from the whole celebration, then Rosebud near the Northumberland National Park is perfect for escaping. Set in the grounds of Hetton Hall, alongside a few other cottages, you will get to witness some amazing starry skies and enjoy some peaceful walks nearby.
