Guest Blog – The Ocean Club

The Ocean Club in Seahouses is a private members club where you can swim, enjoy spa treatments or fitness classes and relax in its coffee shop. Complimentary membership comes with your Retreats stay, with a small entry fee. We spoke to the Club about their recent refurbishments and their recommendations for treatments during your stay.
You’ve recently refurbished, what improvements have you made to the Club?
The coffee shop has been refurbished and extended so there is now seating for 112 and a dog friendly area. We have a new spa relaxation room with heated tiled beds and loungers and a fitness studio offering a range of classes including pilates, studio cycling and kettlebells.
Do you have any group packages for girls get-togethers or hen parties?
Yes, we have a range of half spa day and full spa day packages as well as our popular ‘Girls day out’ package aimed specifically at groups/hen parties, which includes treatments, a buffet style lunch with glass of fizz, and use of the leisure facilities.
Which type of products do you use with your treatments?
We use two unique spa products, Thalgo and ESPA. Every treatment is an all encompassing experience from start to finish, dissolving stresses and strains of modern living. We also use Jessica and Jane Iredale mineral make up.
Which treatment would you recommend?
Indoceane or Polynesia spa treatments. These are both truly exotic rituals taking you on a journey of relaxation and replenishment, or an ESPA Back, face & scalp treatment – reknowned as ESPA’s hero treatment – delivers triple results by targeting three areas, ideal for anyone.
What’s the most popular exercise class that you run in the fitness studio?
Pilates and studio cycling.
What do you love about Seahouses/Northumberland?
Stunning beaches and coastlines, picturesque towns and villages and a real sense of community.
